Protecting person information online is more crucial than ever because of the threat of hackers. Cybersecurity has become a focal point of many businesses and individuals hoping to keep their information safe.

The fourth annual cybersecurity summit was held in Boise Thursday. The event brought together businesses and technology leaders to provide critically important information regarding keeping information safe through a variety of platforms.

The event even featured a hands on experience for participants to test their knowledge and awareness.

"Today were able to hear what great strides the state of Idaho with the Governor and lieurenant governor's support that we’ve been able to move forward, consolidate where needed to improve the capability for the state of Idaho,” said the Idaho Office of Emergency Management Director Brad Richey.

Cybersecurity is a top priority in Idaho. Just last month all state of Idaho employees were required to take and complete a cybersecurity awareness test.
