Fourth annual 'Idaho Gives' kicks off Thursday

Posted

BOISE, Idaho (AP) -- Idaho donors will have 24 hours to open their wallets to hundreds of nonprofits and charities in the upcoming fourth annual "Idaho Gives."

The one-day only fundraising blitz starts on Thursday. The goal is to get as many people as possible to donate to a cause of their choice.

The fundraising for charities -- ranging from Idaho Youth Ranch to the Idaho Diaper Bank and the Boise Rescue Mission -- will happen almost entirely on the web at idahogives.org.

The day of giving will coincide with several statewide charity events also planned for Thursday. Events include an all-day celebration party in Boise, an open house in Coeur d'Alene sponsored by Idaho Drug Free Youth and a brush clean up in Idaho Falls.
