BOISE, Idaho — Zoo Boise offered families free admission February 1 for their annual Wild at Heart event.
Wild at Heart is the zoo's way of thanking the community for supporting Zoo Boise and its wildlife conservation mission.
The zoo offered free admission Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., with last admission at 4:30 p.m. At Wild at Heart, visitors got the chance to watch animals enjoy Valentine's gifts and enrichment activities. Visitors also made Valentine's cards for their favorite zoo animals.
A free shuttle service provided by Boise Parks and Recreation made getting to the zoo easier. Zoo Boise visitors are also always welcome to park in Ann Morrison Park and walk to Zoo Boise. Parking at Julia Davis Park near the zoo is available on a first come, first served basis.
