BOISE — Rep. Russ Fulcher will return to his job in Washington, D.C., winning his first re-election over Democrat Rudy Soto on Tuesday.
Election results have not been finalized, but as of the end of Tuesday night, Fulcher (R-Idaho) led Soto 141,308 votes to 69,742, earning the Congressman about 64.7% of the vote.
Fulcher, a long-time state legislator, took office in 2019 after Rep. Raul Labrador vacated his spot in the United States House of Representatives and ran for governor, instead. Labrador did not win that race, but Fulcher won his spot in Congress.
