Boise Police arrested a Garden City man for felony charges of aggravated assault, battery-domestic violence and injury to child after they were called to a home early Monday morning. Just after 2 a.m., officers arrived in the area of W. Irving and N. Milwaukee St. for a shots fired call.
When officers arrived, they found the suspect, 42-year-old Juan Flores of Garden City, and took him into custody. Flores was violating an active protection order by showing up at the home and contacting the protected party.
Police found evidence of a domestic dispute at the home after investigating. They also found evidence that Flores fired a gun, almost hitting a sleeping child. The child was not injured.
Flores was taken to the Ada County Jail after further investigation and booked on the above charges. Boise Police Victim Witness coordinators are helping the victims.
