Idaho is the Gem State, and this year marks the 80th anniversary of the Idaho Gem Club!
People packed Expo Idaho today to look at a collection of different gems, fossils and minerals. Dealers from all over Idaho and beyond showed off their collections, giving people a chance to purchase all sorts of unique gems.
The show, usually busy, has different workshops where you can learn more about gems and how they're processed. Faceting, for example, is a process used to properly cut a gem to get the best quality.
