BOISE, Idaho — An event at the Boise Public Library brought generations together this weekend in an activity centered around little locomotives.

"Today we're doing an open house at the library, yesterday and today. And it's running the trains for the public," said Harry Kindelberger, president of Treasure Valley Train Collectors Association Club (TCA). He says it's for "the kids and the parents and the grandparents just to come down and have a good time!"

Kindelberger said it doesn't take them long to set it up or take them down-- the only time commitment, he said, is getting the volunteers to come out and do it.

"People love trains -- still like trains, still like to see them. The kids just go crazy, especially when they see the Thomas running," said Kindelberger.

Model train collecting is an activity that can be enjoyed by people of all ages and walks of life.

"The parents, the grandparents are the one that really enjoy it, because of the memories it brings back when they were kids ...and now they're just older kids! Just seeing their reaction of the people and the enjoyment of it -- lot of memories!" said Kindelberger.
