BOISE, Idaho — Governor Brad Little is calling a recent commerce trip to Europe a success. The governor and a group of state and business leaders spent six days meeting with officials in Ireland, the Netherlands and the Basque Country.
Governor Little says those they met with are excited to establish new trade relationships with Idaho, especially in the wine and high-tech industries.
"A lot of missions go back and forth, particularly vintners because of the varieties of grapes they have over there," said Little. "There's a keen interest in this. Silverdraft, which is located here in Boise, that makes supercomputers that are used in car design, we made that connection and we'll see. we hope that comes to fruition."
The Idaho delegation also looked at ways to increase tourism between Idaho and the Basque Country, including next year's huge Jaialdi Festival in Boise.
