MERIDIAN, Idaho — Governor Brad Little’s Opioid and Substance Use Disorder Advisory Group will hold its second meeting on Wednesday, October 9 in Meridian.
The public meeting is scheduled to run 8 a.m. to 2p.m. at the Idaho State University Health Science Center located at 1311 East Central Dr. in Meridian in Room 681 for the Advisory Group and 682 for the Public.
The advisory group was created through an executive order and is tasked with researching, evaluating, and providing the Governor recommendations on twelve specific matters related to opioid and substance misuse in Idaho.
“Our first meeting really laid the groundwork and established a common foundation of knowledge,” says Advisory Group Chair and Administrator of the Office of Drug Policy, Melinda Smyser. “This meeting will dive deeper into the Governor’s charges and prioritizing those the group feels it can provide actionable recommendations on within the next four months.”
Agendas, meeting materials, and other information about the advisory group are available on the website for the Governor’s Office of Drug Policy.
