BOISE, Idaho — Idaho Transportation Department crews have closed one lane of the heavily-traveled Myrtle Street in downtown Boise.

During boring operations, crews found that a depression had formed in a travel lane, prompting a partial closure, said ITD spokesman Jake Melder.

“Currently, the right-most lane of Myrtle Street is closed between 2nd and 4th Street. ITD crews are on site investigating the situation and developing a response,” Melder explained.

Motorists, bicyclists, and pedestrians are urged to use caution while traveling in the area.

Updates on the situation will be posted on ITD’s news blog at itd.idaho.gov/news-info.
