NAMPA, Idaho — October starts tomorrow starting Domestic Violence Awareness Month, and communities across the Treasure Valley are joining efforts to stop the violence.
Monday, Nampa mayor Debbie Kling will read a proclamation declaring the month as Domestic Violence Awareness Month. She will be joined by the Nampa Family Justice Center, who will also highlight hte various resources available to those in need.
The event is at 9 a.m. at the Justice Center on 3rd Street South. Parking is available on the street or in the parking lot behind the building.
Justice Center Staff will also be holding a public open house this Friday at 10:30 a.m.
