BOISE, Idaho — Boise Parks and Recreation is holding a soft opening of the new J.A. and Kathryn Albertsons Family Foundation Bike Park on December 10. The fences will come down at 10 a.m.

This is the public's first chance to check out the new features and trails before a formal dedication and ribbon cutting in spring 2020. Boise Parks and Rec reminds users to start slow and to work your way up. The park will be open Tuesday as long as weather conditions allow.

Riders of all ages and abilities are welcome to use various features in the park, including two pump tracks, three XC trails and three progressive jump lines. Park rules include knowing your ability and riding within them, wearing a helmet, avoiding muddy trails and features and not modifying any trails or features.

The park is located at 750 Mountain Cove Road, near the Military Reserve in Boise's east end.
