EAGLE, Idaho — A local dentist is helping keep kids' teeth healthy, while helping our military troops satisfy their sweet tooth.

Castlebury Dental in Eagle is holding a Halloween candy buy-back program Friday. For each pound of candy brought in, you can earn one dollar.

Then, the candy will be sent to a group called operation gratitude, which sends it to men and women serving overseas.

“The kids, it’s incredible to see how much candy they have so, a little bit of prevention so they don’t overeat so much candy. They still can enjoy some, but take some of the extra and give them a little benefit of some money for them. And then also to benefit the troops. I’m a veteran as well and so we want to give back," said Dr. Jacob Brown with Castlebury Dental.

If you have extra candy you'd like to donate, you can drop it off at Castlebury Dental in Eagle between 7:30 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Friday.
