ORIGINAL: Heavy snow continues piling up in Idaho's central mountains, leading to rough driving conditions and road closures.
As of Monday morning, Highway 21 remains closed north of Idaho City to Lowman. Another section of Highway 21 is closed from Grandjean to Banner Summit. There is danger of an avalanche in the area.
ITD officials plan to recheck road conditions later Sunday, but more snow is in the forecast.
From Sunday morning through Tuesday evening, the area could see an additional 14-18 inches of snow.
