The Treefort Music Fest is taking over downtown Boise. More than 400 bands will play at venues across the city over the next five days. With Treefort’s huge popularity it can be easy to forget there was a time before the festival was a yearly fixture on the music scene.
It’s a time put front and center tonight at the El Korah Shrine at the History of Boise Showcase. Local bands with a history in the City of Trees took center stage to strut their stuff.
“I thought for sure I’d be working at Home Depot by now, but ya’ know, still out here playing music, which is great,” said musician Todd Dunnigan.
Bands featured at tonight’s event included Lovey, Doublewide, Low-Fi, Deep Down Trauma Hounds and The Swiveltones.
