The Idaho House has passed a bill that would deny local government from creating their own higher minimum wage.
The vote fell along party lines, with all fourteen Democrats voting against the bill. The measure comes on the heels of a failed initiative in Coeur D'Alene to raise the minimum wage there.
Cities like Seattle and Los Angeles have passed individual minimum wage hikes. Bill sponsors say they want to avoid a patchwork of wages throughout the state.
