NAMPA, Idaho — The Idaho Gives fundraising drive wraps up on May 7 after a two-week campaign helping non-profits in Idaho raise money. Among them is the History of Idaho Broadcasting Foundation, a group of veteran radio and television people currently raising money to build a combination broadcast museum, hall of fame and education center in Nampa.

The group recently purchased the building that used to house the popular radio station KFXD.

"We certainly want to make sure that we have a facility that people can look back into the past and yet maintain their connection with the future right here at the History of Idaho Broadcast Education Facility and Museum," said Dave Ferdinand, Broadcasting Foundation spokesperson.

Over the years, the group says it has gathered one of the largest regional collections of photos, documents and audio and video recordings from radio and television stations all over the state. There is no date set yet on when the History and Education Facility and Museum may open.
