BOISE, Idaho — Monday marked the beginning of National School Breakfast Week. While schools across the country celebrated the program, in Idaho the breakfast program makes it possible for all students to receive a nutritious meal every school day. Dr. Linda Clark, President of the Idaho State Board of Education, tells us that with rapid growth in the Treasure Valley she has noticed the number of food-insecure families has increased.
In honor of this week, Dr. Clark visited South Junior High School, her alma mater, to deliver a proclamation from the Governor and shares with us that the breakfast program in the Boise School District was not only recognized nationally, but it's also in the Top 10 for best breakfast programs in the country.
