BOISE, Idaho — The Idaho Department of Labor has contracted with a call center to provide additional agents and phone lines for unemployment claims.
With the increased number of unemployment claims due to the coronavirus pandemic, the main goal for this expansion is for claimants to experience shorter hold times.
All claimants who call the Department of Labor will be directed to the new toll-free number, where an additional 30 people will be available to answer calls, take new claims over the phone and unlock accounts, among other tasks. The additional staff from the call center will allow the Department of Labor staff to handle more complex issues with unemployment claims.
The toll-free number is (833) 410-1009, and the call center is open Monday - Friday, 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. Spanish-speaking agents are also available.
