Idaho Gives is May 5, 2016. In addition to the donations, some nonprofits may realize even greater gains from a large awards pool of more than $57,000 by way of lottery.

One way is by winning a Golden Ticket. Idaho Gives will pick a donor's name hourly and award that donor's charitable concern $1,000 on top of the original donation.
Another game is designed to reward nonprofits outside of the treasure valley, so nonprofits statewide have a chance to win.
Last year, one of the winners was Canyon County Pet Haven, which won both a Golden Ticket and regional award of $500, which came in handy when their sewer system collapsed. Because they are solely supported by contributions and their thrift store effort, "the Golden Ticket was very, very appreciated," said Nancy West, Treasurer for Canyon County Pet Haven.
