The largest online charitable giving day for Idaho is less than two weeks away.
Idaho Gives officially kicks off for the entire day on May 5th, 2016.
The day continues to give long after the calendar has turned has been growing since its inception three years ago.
"Idaho Gives allows the nonprofits to focus on their mission," says Erin Hutto, the Program Director for the Idaho Nonprofit Center.
When it first started in 2013, Idaho Gives raised $578,735 through 9,415 donations from 6,192 individuals directed at 541 causes.
In 2014, the donations were larger from fewer donors: they raised more than $780,000 from over 7,500 donors in 24 hours.
Clearly Idaho Gives has grown. Last year, on the same day, Idaho Gives raised $1.1 Million for more than 675 nonprofit causes in communities across Idaho.
