Idaho Highway 16 is closed in both directions between Beacon Light and Floating Feather roads after a fatal crash happened Wednesday morning. Deputies with the Ada County Sheriff's Office are investigating the crash.
In a Tweet, ACSO says a car going north and an SVU going south on the highway collided in the middle of the road around 9:30 a.m. One of the drivers was declared dead at the scene and the other was taken to a local hospital and is in critical condition.
Investigators and reconstruction experts are at the scene and trying to find out what caused the crash. Drivers should avoid the area until further notice.
