BOISE, Idaho — Party for Paws, a virtual fundraiser benefiting the Idaho Humane Society, is happening now until the end of the month. IHS says this year, their greatest need is a transport van to bring rescues and animals in rural shelters to the humane society.

Last year, IHS transferred in more than 500 animals from rural shelters throughout the state, and they hope they can transfer even more with the proper supplies.

"Because of COVID, we've had to come up with some interesting ways to fundraise," said Kristine Schellhaas, communications manager for IHS. "We've shifted to an online platform where people can provide pledges, online support for different programs or they can bid on online auction items."

As of Monday morning, Party for Paws is at half of its $50,000 goal. The Party for Paws auction runs through 8 p.m. this Friday.
