BOISE, Idaho — Spring is almost here, and the Idaho Humane Society is celebrating with some special events.

This weekend, IHS will take part in Life is Sweet! The dog-friendly art show is happening at The Lounge at the End of the Universe March 14 and 15. The show features artwork of shelter dogs by Unleashed Fur pet photography that can be purchased on-site with a portion of proceeds going to the Idaho Humane Society. The IHS mobile adoption crew and food trucks will also be on hand.

Other events include the Idaho Cat Show on March 21 and 22 at Expo Idaho. Later on in the month, IHS will host a Kitten Bottle Baby Class ahead of kitten season.

Earlier this month, IHS helped take in more than 30 chihuahuas from an owner in the Magic Valley. Some of the animals are still in foster care while others are getting ready for their forever homes. You can help through monetary donations.

IHS also just celebrated an official grand opening for its new complex on Bird Street. The facility held a soft opening last fall but had to delay the grand opening after a car hit the building.
