A group of cruise ship passengers remain quarantined at sea as the number of diagnosed cases of coronavirus on-board continues to grow. Tim Pond, of Buhl, is one of more than 3,000 people stuck on the Diamond Princess cruise ship floating off the coast of Japan.

Pond says the cruise company has been communicating well with passengers and keeping them up to date on the number of new cases each day. He also says each passenger has a thermometer to test themselves with.

“I ran out of medicine but Princess has been good, they’ve supplied all of it, they’ve refilled all of it and they did so at their expense," said Pond. "It took them a few days to do so but considering they’re supplying for over a thousand people, I'm sure it took a few days to.”

Pond said he had a fever a few days ago but he is feeling better now. If all goes well, the ship should be headed back to the United States on February 19.
