Ever since the Idaho State Museum opened last October after being closed for four years for renovations, officials say they've seen a huge spike in the number of rare and historical items that have been donated.
A turn of the century leather bank deposit bank, believed to have belonged to Idaho's first millionaire, items from the Idaho Statesman's first female publisher, and a top hat that belonged to late Governor Cecil Andrus are just a few of the items that have been donated.
Museum officials say they are always on the hunt for more historical items. They say things like clothing worn during any of the inaugural celebrations, items connected to influential women in Idaho, and things that highlight Idaho's diversity through the years are welcome!
