BOISE, Idaho — Idaho State Police is investigating a two-vehicle injury crash that happened early Thursday morning. The crash was reported just after midnight on westbound I184 near the Curtis exit.

Baunsong Saengthip, of Nampa, was driving west in a 2004 Lexus R33 SUV when he hit Debra Jones, of Boise, who was also driving west in a 200 Mitsubishi Mirage from behind. Both vehicles lost control and came to rest in the lanes of travel.

The lanes were partially blocked for around one hour. Both Jones and a passenger in the Lexus were taken to St. Alphonsus Regional Medical Center in Boise by ground ambulance. There is no word on their condition.

Alcohol was a factor in the crash, and Saengthip was arrested for driving under the influence. The crash is still under investigation by Idaho State Police.
