MARSING, Idaho — Idaho State Police is investigating an injury crash that happened on September 24 just after 3 p.m. The crash occurred on Plum Road and Lowell Road just north of Marsing.
Miguel Hernandez, 58, of Caldwell, was traveling westbound on Lowell Road in a commercial vehicle hauling onions. The vehicle did not have proper working brakes. Hernandez lost control of the vehicle and went off the roadway. The vehicle came to rest on its side in the Snake River.
Hernandez was transported via air ambulance to St. Alphonsus Regional Medical Center in Boise. The passenger of the commercial vehicle, Oscar Baez, 29, of Caldwell, was transported by ground ambulance to West Valley Medical Center in Caldwell then transported to St. Alphonsus Regional Medical Center in Boise.
There is no word on either of their conditions this morning.
