BOISE, Idaho — A group of organizations that help with domestic violence services in Idaho, and one in Wyoming, received a check Thursday for $105,000 thanks to Idaho Stinker Stores. On August 1, The Women's and Children's Alliance launched a collaboration with Stinker Stores and six other domestic violence service providers for the "Piece of Hope" campaign.
The campaign asks Stinker Stores customers to donate money for the cause while learning about the organizations that benefit kids who have been impacted by domestic violence or sexual abuse.
"Ironically it was tougher to raise the money, but the need because of COVID was much much greater than prior years," said Charley Jones, President and Owner of Stinker Stores.
The money will be used to fund services and programs throughout the state that focuses on children exposed to violence in their homes or are being abused themselves.
