In Canada this weekend, some Treasure Valley teens are competing against students from around the world in the "First Robotics" competition.
The event, themed "deep space" this year, encourages kids to get involved in STEM activities.
Students from three Nampa high schools worked together to build a robot to take to the competition. The team traveled to Canada to compete with teams from Canada, New Zealand, and Hawaii.
The event is the first robotics event of the season.
The team was eliminated in the semi-finals, but they put up a great fight--they even got a "spirit award" for their great attitudes in competition.
