CALDWELL, Idaho — The Ice Ribbon at Indian Creek Plaza in Downtown Caldwell will open for its second season on Wednesday, November 20, at 12:00 pm. The Boise Figure Skating Club will perform a routine at 7:15 pm to celebrate the ribbon's second season.
New to the Plaza this year is an additional lounge area on the Idaho Central Credit Union Stage. The decorated area is reminiscent of a log cabin and has a faux fireplace, couches, comfortable chairs, bar, and heaters so viewers can watch people ice skate comfortably.
Starting Wednesday, the Ice Ribbon is open to the public daily through the end of February, weather permitting. Hours vary daily and are available on here. Ice-skating passes, including skate rental, are $4.00 for children under three years old, $8.50 for children under 12 years old, and $10.00 for adults. The public is welcome to bring their own ice skates for a $4.00 discount. The ribbon also offers skate rentals, skate lessons, and birthday party packages.
Indian Creek Plaza has planned several events during the ice-skating season, including visits from Santa, a winter solstice market and DJ Skate nights. Events, excluding ice-skating, are free to the public, click here for event details.
