BOISE COUNTY, Idaho — A juvenile passenger is dead after a single-car crash Saturday evening on Robie Creek Road. Idaho State Police say the incident started because a wasp flew into the car.
It happened two miles west of State Highway 21 in Boise County around 6:11 p.m. Saturday. The driver was also a juvenile.
A wasp flew into the vehicle, according to a press release from Idaho State Police. The 2004 Dodge Neon then went off the roadway and overturned into Robie Creek where it was partially submerged. The passenger succumbed to their injuries at the scene.
Next of kin has been notified. Both the driver and passenger were wearing seatbelts.
