UPDATE: All lanes open after I-84 crashes east of Boise

UPDATE (2:30 a.m.): A juvenile was driving west in a 1996 Geo Metro and swerved into the right lane, hitting James A. Smith, 50, who was in a 2018 Cascadia Freighliner. The Geo Metro stopped in the left lane and the Freightliner in the right lane.

Laura M. Medrano was traveling west in a 2009 Chevy Malibu did not slow for traffic and hit Michael L. Hill in a 2017 Kia Sorrento. Both vehicles stopped on the right shoulder. Another semi traveling west swerved to miss traffic and came to a stop in the median.

Nobody was taken to the hospital from the scene of the crash. Lanes were blocked for around three hours and fifteen minutes.

UPDATE: Lanes in both directions are open.

ORIGINAL STORY: Idaho State Police is currently responding to two separate two-vehicle crashes on I-84 near milepost 64, east of Boise.

The call came in around 7:30 p.m.

All lanes are blocked in both directions.

No injuries occurred during the crashes.
