BOISE, Idaho — John Reusser, director of theIdaho Suicide Hotline, is leaving to start his own private counseling practice.

Through his seven years of leadership, the hotline expanded to provide 24 hour crisis services and offer suicide prevention training all across the Treasure Valley.

According to Reusser, the hotline will be left in good hands.

"I'm just very proud of the work that we've done and the program we've built and the community that we've built around this hotline," Reusser said. "I feel very confident that we're going to hand it off in a great way to the next director and that the work is going to continue"

Reusser said that he'll continue to volunteer for the hotline.

Those interested in volunteering can attend a volunteer training session in April.
