EAGLE, Idaho — The Idaho Transportation Department will host open houses on December 4 and 5 to gather input on potential improvements to Idaho 44 from Interstate 84 in Caldwell to West State Street in Eagle.
“Idaho 44 is one of the only east-west highway north of the Boise River between Ada and Canyon counties,” said Amy Revis, ITD District 3 Engineer. “ITD is developing long-term plans to improve safety, address mobility and support economic opportunity along the corridor.”
Community members are invited to stop by between 6 and 8 p.m. on Wednesday, December 4 at Eagle High School (574 Park Ln.) or Thursday, December 5 at Middleton Middle School (511 W. Main St.).
This project will include a full environmental analysis and build on an earlier Idaho 44 corridor study. ITD anticipates initial improvements will be constructed in 2023 and 2024 from Star Road to Linder Road.
