BOISE, Idaho — As the kids come to knock on your doors this Halloween, you will want to make sure your four-legged friends are ready.

Dogs and cats can get easily scared this time of year and could slip out the front door. PetMD recommends keeping them in the house and confined in a room away from where you will greet trick or treaters.

Make sure your candy or glow sticks are out of reach and if you plan to dress up if your pet, make their costume is the right size and does not restrict eyesight, hearing or breathing.
