BOISE, Idaho — Young Treasure Valley Taekwondo students got the chance to demonstrate their skills for a good cause Saturday.

The Kick-a-thon fundraiser, called "Kicking for Miracles", benefits the St. Luke's Children's Hospital.

"So very similar to how kids might have a jog-a-thon or walk-a-thon at school, except it's a kick-a-thon so they kick boards and break boards for charity," David Kim explained. "We asked the children to get sponsors and donations since about a month ago, and then all the donations were collected today and we totaled everything."

The fundraiser collected more than $15,000.
