UPDATE: All lanes of traffic are now open on Capitol Boulevard and Front Street in downtown Boise.
ORIGINAL STORY: If you are driving through downtown Boise this week, expect delays near the intersection of Capitol Boulevard and Front Street. The Ada County Highway District (ACHD) said in a press release that a geothermal line broke earlier this week.
Capitol is down to one lane between Myrtle and Front Streets. Front street is down to three lanes between Capitol and 5th street.
The geothermal line has been repaired and crews will be repaving on Friday. Drivers should use different routes and avoid the area if possible.
The work is expected to be finished by the end of the week.
