2 in custody after car drives through barrier along Kansas City Chiefs championship parade route

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Law enforcement had to chase down a person who drove their vehicle through a barricade along the Chiefs Kingdom Champions Parade route on Wednesday morning.

The incident began when the vehicle drove through a barrier set up at Admiral and Grand boulevards in downtown Kansas City, Missouri.

The chase did not last long before police managed to stop the vehicle.

Kansas City Police Department Sgt. Jake Becchina said two people were taken into custody. According to Becchina, impairment may have been a factor.

No one was injured in the incident.
