PAYETTE COUNTY, Idaho — The Sand Hollow Fire Protection District reports that the Saylor Fire, a 612-acre wildfire in Gem County, was started around 8 pm on July 24 after heavy winds and lightning tore through the area.
The flames can be found just 10 miles north of New Plymouth. Currently the fire is contained, and estimates say the fire should be controlled by 4pm on Thursday, July 25.
