A local organization is helping people file their taxes for free this year.
February 1 through April 15 AARP Foundation Tax-Aide is giving in-person tax help.
The program is offered at 40 different sites across Idaho, including senior centers, libraries and other locations.
Last year, AARP Foundation Tax-Aide volunteers helped more than 49,000 Idaho residents claim $21 million in federal refunds and $5 million in earned income tax credits.
