BOISE, Idaho — Float season may be over, but Autumn is the perfect time to enjoy the beautiful Boise River.
A team of volunteers gathered Thursday to ensure the river stays beautiful and healthy for years to come. Around 20 volunteers from Stantec Consulting Services gathered near the Idaho Shakespeare Festival to donate time and money to the effort.
The company gave $2,500 to the Boise River Enhancement Network, then they rolled up their sleeves to cut back invasive species int he area, and plant new trees, flowers and bushes. They also picked up trash in the area.
Volunteers say all of the crew members enjoy recreating on and around the Boise River, so the project is close to their heart.
