Recently, the owners of Jalapeno Wine started up a storefront in Garden City after perfecting their unusual product.
At first Crystal Potter thought her husband's idea of Jalapeno wine was terrible, but she says once she tasted it her mind was changed. So they embarked on the world of wine making.
"He's the wine maker. We were making red and white wines because we had a ton of grapes in his backyard at his former home and we've done wine. We've done a ton of grapes. We've done everything. We still had a plethora of grapes." Crystal says.
That's when the idea came up for their Jalapeno wine. While people were hesitant at first Crystal says "They see Jalapeno wine and they think it's crazy and they can't really wrap those things in their mind and they're thinking jalapenos and wine...that doesn't go together. And they see jalapenos wine lemonade and they're really blown away." But she says with a booming wine industry in Idaho there's a lot of room for creativity.
