When you think of gardening in the Treasure Valley, you can't help but think of Zamzows. People taking care of gardens, yards an pets have relied on the Made in Idaho company for the right products and friendly information for decades.

What started out as a feed store in Boise has turned into a forty to fifty million dollar enterprise with numerous off-shoot businesses that distribute products throughout the United States and the world.

The current Zamzows patriarch, Jim Zamzow says it's not about the money to his family, it's about providing useful products and information to the community. Various family members have worked for the business over eighty-five years, including Rafielle Novak, Jim's granddaughter, who handles occasional menial duties at the stores when she's there.

"I would love to become a part of it," Rafielle says. "I already am, sort of, but I'd like to become more than a paper deliverer."
