BOISE, Idaho — A Boise man is in the Ada County Jail following a Sunday night shooting.

About 9:45 p.m., Boise Police officers responded to a report of shots fired on the 1800 block of Owyhee Street.

While on the way, officers received additional information indicating that a shooting victim was in a car at Overland Road and Vista Avenue. Once on scene, they began providing first aid to the victim. “Ada County paramedics also responded and transported the male adult victim to a local hospital with serious injuries,” according to a Boise Police news release.

Police say it appears the victim and the suspect had been in an argument on Owyhee Street. “The victim got into a car to leave and, at some point, the suspect (shot) at the victim multiple times while he was in the car,” the news release said.

The victim then drove to Overland and Vista where he was found by officers.

Detectives were able to later identify Christopher Moorefield, 22, as the suspect. Moorefield was located and arrested on charges of felony aggravated battery and using a deadly weapon during the commission of a felony.
