Man dies in drowning at Lake Lowell

NAMPA, ID— Canyon County Sheriff’s Office is investigating an incident of a drowning man in Upper Dam of Lake Lowell on Saturday evening.

On July 23, 2016, at approximately 8:37 PM, the officers responded to a report of drowning at Upper Dam of Lake Lowell.

A witness reported that a male victim in his late forties floating face down in the water.

The deputies found the victim, recovered him and began CPR before the medics arrived and pronounced him dead.

The victim’s name has not been released at this time. According to the Canyon County Coroner, the victim has been identified but family members have not been notified.
