A man is dead after a Wednesday afternoon crash near the New Plymouth exit on I-84.
Idaho State Police say the man was driving eastbound on I-84 and trying to pass a vehicle on the left shoulder before losing control and rolling multiple times into the median. He was not wearing a seatbelt and was thrown from the vehicle.
Police have not identified the man as they work to contact family members. Eastbound lanes of traffic were blocked for around 45 minutes. Westbound lanes were blocked for close to two hours.
