MCCALL, Idaho — The McCall City Council is extending the mask mandate in the city for another 30 days.

City officials made the decision after a special meeting Thursday, July 30.

Since July 2, the city has required masks in all spaces indoors and outdoors when 6 feet of distance cannot be maintained.

The city council says over three hundred comments were submitted prior to the meeting, asking for the mandate to be continued.

Those who do not comply with the mandate may receive a civil penalty of $100.

While McCall is open to travelers and Payette Lake is open for recreational activities, city officials say businesses have protective protocols in place.
