BOISE, Idaho — In the annual tradition on Memorial Day, fallen military veterans were honored through ceremonies and fly-overs.
Thanks to beautiful morning weather, planes from the WWII era, taking off from the Warhawk Air Museum, performed fly-overs of the Veteran cemeteries in the area. The pilots also performed their missing man formation to honor our fallen heroes.
People also gathered at the Idaho State Veteran's Cemetery, paying tribute to America's armed forces.
Veterans Celebrated in Idaho
Idaho civil war volunteers hosted a display including a 21-gun salute at Morris Hill Cemetery, a fitting reminder that Memorial Day came about as a way to remember the 620,000 soldiers who fell in the Civil War.
