MERIDIAN, Idaho — One local organization is giving you the chance to hit a hole in one and raise money for rescue dogs at the same time.
Meridian Canine Rescue is holding their first charity golf tournament Friday to raise money for the organization and rescue dogs.
So far, there are about 30 teams registered for the event.
All teams will tee off at different times throughout the day to help space out the number of golfers on the course at one time.
Lunch and gift bags are provided, and players can enter a raffle to win different prizes, including a night out in downtown Boise.
“This spring, when all of our in-person events got canceled, our anniversary party, our garden party, that’s where a lot of our funds come from to support the dogs, so that’s really why we decided to do this just for Meridian Canine Rescue. So, 100% of all proceeds are going to Meridian Canine,” Meridian Canine Rescue volunteer Cassie Jordan says.
Wednesday is the last day to sign up and register yourself or a team, so head to their website to see how you can be a part of the charity tournament.
